A decade ago,
Barbara Walla set out to fulfill a lifelong dream: to have a
horse of her own. She found and fell in love with "He's
A Class Act",
a 20 year-old American Saddlebred Gelding,
successful in Saddleseat competition.
Not knowing the difference, she quickly decided that Saddleseat
wasn't what she wanted to do! So
off on a quest she went. She and her husband Bob settled on Dressage
because it made sense. A
method of training and retraining that is based upon balance,
security and confidence of "going to
the next level", be it learning how to canter undersaddle,
execute perfect flying changes and
pirouettes or being a solid citizen on a trail ride.
Bob and Barbara's equine journey began as a dream in the early
day when living in New York. Bob's
first retirement precipitated a move to Florida. They eventually
landed in Ocala, the horse
Capital of the World.
Bob oversees farm business,
having "retired" two more
times, while Barbara is a hands-on
owner/rider, that is, when she isn't working full-time as an
or Surgical Nurse, tending to garden
or taking her dogs for a run.
