Karen
M Licciardi, USDF "L" judge
and Bronze Medallist is pleased to announce that she is training
and riding for Dancing Horses Farm of Ocala. In addition she is
available for judging, training, clinics and showing.
Karen has been training and showing many different breeds in dressage
from Conamara ponies, Arabians, American Saddlebreds, Hotbeds
and of course Warmbloods. "I
ride with my
mind, the true classical way of dressage." "My goal is
to always make my horse happy with constant positive communication, lots
of patience and rewards.". "I am a Zen rider and always better
the mind of my horses as well as their physical body". "Horses
are not machines, they are living creatures with feelings and emotions and
must be treated with respect and kindness"

Born and raised in Eagle River, Wisconsin, Karen's family owned and operated
Kar-A-Mar Stables, an Arabian breeding and training farm. In the 17 years that
Karen was home she experienced many different disciplines for horsemanship including
eventing, show jumping and Dressage. In addition she operated a small business,
purchasing hotbeds from the sales or off the track. She broke them or retrained
them for resale. Karen is a natural and truly learned how to communicate with
the horses.
After
moving to Florida in 1989, she furthered her Dressage training with Gunter
Ostergarde and retired Captain of the Belgium Olympic team, Jos Sevrins.
Karen's stallion De Mohamed Ali and mare FullMoon Amtares put
her on the map with several National and Regional awards,
from the Arabian and open Dressage circuits, including
Horse of the Year. Added to her credits when she received two perfect "10"'s
in dressage from two different U.S.A. Equestrian judges.
Karen is currently working
on obtaining her small "r" judges
license from the United States Dressage Federation. Karen can
